The Goal of the School Counseling Program is to...
Inspire and empower learners by maximizing the academic, career and person/social development of all students and helping them become productive members of the school community.
Our counseling program at Royal View Elementary School offers a variety of services for students, parents, and staff. These programs include, working with students individually, small group sessions such as MASH & Friendship Circle, monthly classroom lessons which may include topics on kindness, listening, courage, leadership, respect, friendship, and appreciation, just to name a few.
I also work closely with Student Council who are trained as Conflict Mediators along with The Royal Ambassadors and our Morning Greeters.
Each of these programs is designed to help our students be successful both academically and socially, and to enhance each child's elementary experience at Royal View. Specific information about these programs will appear on this web page throughout the school year.
I am available every day to staff and parents. Students may also stop in any time to speak with me. I try to make myself very accessible to students and parents through my involvement in morning announcements, student council, PTA events, and lunch/recess activities.
