North Royalton High School is offering online credit recovery through the EdOptions Academy program. This credit is offered for credit recovery only and open only to students who have attended North Royalton City Schools during the 2012-13 school year. Click here for more information.
The eligibility guides contain the basic OHSAA requirements necessary for students to participate in interscholastic athletics along with other key OHSAA regulations. Also included is information on preparticipation evaluations and OHSAA consent forms; information on concussion management and the requirement to sign off on the Ohio Department of Health’s ‘Concussion Information Sheet;’ information on sporting behavior, and overviews on the purpose of interscholastic athletics and the OHSAA. In addition, both guides contain a one-page eligibility checklist, which you may consider collecting from your participants.
It is highly recommended that you take time to review the elements of these guides with student-athletes and their parents during the OHSAA-required preseason meetings(*). Additionally, copies should be distributed to all student-athletes and their parents, coaches and guidance counselors and the link to the guide on the OHSAA website should be posted on your school website. You may also consider inserting the guide within your student-athlete handbook and forwarding the link to the guide to your parents.
