The North Royalton High School football players conducted the sixth annual Coats for Kids/Stuff the Bus school event on Saturday, November 21 from 9am – 2pm. The community brought their gently used coats and cash donations to the North Royalton Board of Education parking lot, 6579 Royalton Road, where a bus was “stuffed” with the donations. This event benefits the children of Northeast Ohio and is a way for the North Royalton school community to give back to those in need.
"We are so appreciative of the dedication of the North Royalton community to Coats for Kids," said Debbie Martinko, Coats for Kids executive director. "The football moms, high school players and other school and community groups -- as well as all the generous donors -- have always rallied behind this event. They are keeping the tradition of giving alive and inspiring others to do the same."
Local businesses such as Bruegger’s Bagels in Strongsville and Becker’s Donuts in North Royalton also supported the drive with food for the football players and student volunteers. The City of North Royalton helped publicize the event and Mastro’s The 3 Spot also assisted with the promotion.
