Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) Updates

The health, safety and well-being of the students and staff at North Royalton City Schools is a priority and we are closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19.

We will continue to update this page with updates and resources for our school families as it is released.  Please check this page regularly as it will change, including these list of cancelled events below:
Parents and Guardians,
To assist in abiding by the Governor’s ruling to Stay At Home, starting this Monday, March 30, meals will be distributed on
Mondays and Thursdays only. Monday will be three meals (breakfast and lunch) for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, there will be two sets of meals (breakfast and lunch) for Thursday and Friday.  The last day to receive lunches will be May 28, 2020.

Parents who are interested in their student receiving a meal should continue to complete the electronic form on the District website or call 440-582-9041 for each child, by 5 p.m. the day before the pickup. Parents may pick up the meal at North Royalton High School between the hours of 10 - 11:15 a.m. Monday, and Thursday by entering driveway #4 and pulling up to the side of the building on the left. Stop at the ramp with the yellow railing for meal pick up (Door #26). There will be a sign to direct you to the location. Once you provide your child's name and school to the food service worker, you will receive the meal.
Stay Healthy,
North Royalton Food Service

Governor DeWine gave an order that schools in Ohio will remain closed through Friday, May 1, 2020.  He also stated he will re-evaluate the next steps as we get closer to that date.

Our staff will continue to work to provide lessons and activities that allow for learning to take place.  This may include video lessons, video conferencing and use of Google Classroom for staff to deliver lessons.

All students should be participating in these lessons and completing and returning work as required.  The credit given for these assignments can be used to determine fourth quarter grades for students.  It is important that you make sure your child has logged in to their Google Classroom.  If you have any issues, please contact the classroom teacher or principal.

Spring break will remain April 10 through April 17, 2020.  During that time, there will be no instructional activities given to students to allow our staff time to refocus and plan for the remainder of the school closure and possibly the rest of the year in the event that schools will not be in session.

Updates will be sent out as information becomes available.  Thank you for your support for our students and staff.

At this time, all District events scheduled through May 1, 2020, have been canceled. New information will be provided as it comes in.
