Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving certainly will look different this year. However, it is another opportunity to look for and find the positive in the last 9 months. Whether you are cooking, enjoying the day with close family, or picking up a curbside meal to-go, I hope that you enjoy the holiday. Even in a global pandemic, I am very thankful to be both a principal and a parent in the North Royalton Schools' community. Thank you for your unwavering support of NRMS, our teachers and staff, and certainly our kids! Happy Thanksgiving.

November 30 & December 21

When we return from Thanksgiving, NRMS will still be following our Remote Learning Schedule. Please note that both Monday, November 30, and Monday December 21 are synchronous days, which means students will be live with their teachers. On these additional synchronous days, students and staff will follow the Tuesday through Thursday remote learning schedule as far as core classes (ELA, math, science & social studies), and follow Monday's schedule for exploratory classes (7th and 8th grade students are the only students who have exploratory classes scheduled on Mondays). The Remote Learning Team will communicate with their students and families to make sure everyone is prepared for next Monday.

Virtual Scholastic Book Fair

The NRMS Media Center will be hosting a Virtual Scholastic Book Fair starting on Monday, November 23. Please click here for more information.

Free Meals Available to All NR Students

All students have the opportunity to select a meal for breakfast and lunch free of charge until December 31, 2020 (unless federal funding runs out sooner). This is available to all students, whether they are remote or in the blended model.

The students who are in school do not have to complete an application to participate in this opportunity. They just select a meal and allow a member of the Food Service Team to count them for our reimbursement.

For parents/guardians who want to pick up meals for their students learning remotely, we do need parents to notify us a week prior, so that we can be sure to have enough food prepared. We ask parents who wish to participate in this opportunity to use this link to notify us. Meals can be picked up on Mondays and Thursdays unless there is a holiday or alteration to the traditional school week. The hours of operation are between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM at NRHS.
