Welcome to NRHS Counseling

Our counselors are here to help with academic planning, college and career guidance, and personal growth. We have an open-door policy — stop by during lunch, study hall, open campus, before/after school, or anytime you're in need. You can also email us to schedule an appointment. Parents are always welcome to reach out too!

Our Counselors' Qualifications: NRHS counselors hold master's degrees in counseling and are fully state-licensed, with ongoing training to stay current in their field.

What Our Counselors Do: Guided by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), our counselors support students in every area of school life:

  • Academic Support — Goal-setting, course planning, and overcoming academic challenges

  • Social-Emotional Guidance — Individual and group counseling for personal well-being

  • College & Career Planning — Exploring interests, navigating applications, and planning for life after graduation

  • Family & Teacher Collaboration — Partnering with parents and staff to support each student

  • Community Connections — Connecting students to outside resources when needed

Our counselors are here to ensure every student feels supported, prepared, and ready for what's next.
