North Royalton City Schools continues to be a source of pride for our community, offering a top-tier education to approximately 4,000 students from North Royalton and Broadview Heights. With three schools—North Royalton Elementary, North Royalton Middle, and North Royalton High School—the District is committed to academic excellence, student well-being, and responsible fiscal stewardship.

Despite having one of the lowest per-pupil expenditures in Cuyahoga County, North Royalton City Schools consistently delivers high-quality education while maintaining sound financial practices. The District has earned multiple prestigious honors, including the Auditor of State Award with Distinction, recognizing excellence in financial reporting and accountability. Additionally, the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association reflects the District’s dedication to transparency and strong financial management.

School Highlights

North Royalton Elementary School (Preschool–4th Grade)

Equipped with up-to-date spaces and resources, empowering students to thrive in a dynamic learning environment.
Emphasizes the social and academic growth of every child through “The Bear Way” and the North Royalton Elementary School Pledge.
Offers comprehensive literacy instruction in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Promotes a love of reading through its Whole School Book Club, creating a school-wide culture of literacy.
The Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators (OAESA) named North Royalton Elementary School a 2024 OAESA Hall of Fame School.

North Royalton Middle School (5th–8th Grade)

Provides a supportive and challenging middle school experience tailored to early adolescents.
Celebrates students who model mindfulness, kindness, integrity, and resilience through the “BEAR Way.”
Fosters real-world connections and community service through events like walk-a-thons and food drives.
Delivers an engaging curriculum that includes STEM, technology, health, gaming animation, leadership, and the arts.

Enhances student learning through enriching extracurriculars such as field trips, music programs, clubs and the arts.

North Royalton High School (9th–12th Grade)

Offers a rigorous academic program with a variety of Honors and Advanced Placement courses.
Partners with the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center to provide 28 career and technical education programs.
Hosts Career, College, and Military Exploration Day to help students prepare for life beyond graduation.
Encourages artistic expression through classes in drama, music, photography, painting, and creative writing.
Showcases elite vocal and instrumental music programs that consistently earn regional and state honors.
Prepares students for the future with courses in business, entrepreneurship, personal finance, and technology.
Promotes physical wellness and teamwork through a wide array of athletic programs and wellness courses.
