On September 16, North Royalton Middle School held a ceremony to induct 59 eighth graders into the school’s Honor Society for their academic and community achievements. The inductees are Connor Adams, Scott Adkins, Habib Akouri, Lena Alnazer, Noah Argana, Alexandria Armbruster, Lindsey Audino, Amanda Baker, Robert Bottomley, Kate Brierley, Ethan Butler, Kyle Cmich, Ashley Coffman, David Cooney, Nicholas DeAngelis, Jovan Djordjevic, Ashley Dlugolinski, Hailey Dlugolinski, Zoe Douglas, Matthew Emling, Casey Felton, Diane Frangulea, Emily Gaborick, Christopher Garcia, Joseph Garcia, Alyssa Garrison, Blake Goloja, Brenna Groh, Kaitlyn Held, Savana Herceg, Allysn Hryn, Bradey Humble, Cara Humes, Rohan Jayaram, Sydnee Jones, Noelle Kidd, Sabrina Kotovets, Alexis Kovach, Rachel Kukich, Radha Mamidi, Joseph Marousek, Jessica Miklos, Rebecca Pavelich, Nina Pignataro, Kelley Ptak, Jordan Raudins, Paige Roesch, Madelyn Romstadt, Abigail Rowlett, Colin Rush, Dylan Sexton, Brody Shields, Meaghan Stafford, Breanna Tamoga, Khrystyna Tsybulya, Alexandria Velgush, Hannah Waler, Ashley Workman and Mia Zivkovic.
These students applied for the NRMS Honor Society during the third quarter of their seventh grade year. In order to apply and be accepted, these students have to earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, participate in at least one community service project or activity during their middle school years, be involved in four activities, clubs or extracurricular programs and must write an essay of how they live The Bear Way everyday at NRMS.
“These students have the qualities of true leaders and this is a great way to recognize them for all the hard work they do both in and outside the classroom,” said North Royalton Middle School Principal Jeff Cicerchi.
Students from the NRMS Honor Society are raising and lowering the American flag each week in front of the school. They also are volunteering at Mount Royal Villa in North Royalton, playing bingo and visiting with the senior citizens.
