Albion Elementary School PTA presents Ohio Achievement Awards

Albion Elementary School PTA presents Ohio Achievement Awards

On Monday, November 9, the Albion Elementary School PTA presented their Ohio Achievement Awards that were scheduled to be presented at April’s Founders Night which was cancelled due to COVID-19.  The Ohio PTA Achievement Award was created to provide an opportunity to honor those individuals who have rendered outstanding service to children and youth.

The two recipients were Mary Ensor and Vince Ketterer.

Mary Ensor was nominated by Audrey McCrone for her excellence over the past few years in her service and dedication towards Albion’s students and staff. Ensor has served as Vice President of PTA and has assisted with numerous committees.  Due to her hard work and dedication, Albion held two successful Fun Runs, purchased indoor recess carts for all students to use, and planned a STEM day at the school for the students.

Principal Vince Ketterer was nominated by the Hulvalchick family.  Ketterer always looks for creative ways to bond with the students.  He is well known for his costumes, riding around the school with his scooter and ‘Ketterer Cam,’ and is famous for his ‘chicken nugget’ song.  In addition to being a great role model for our students, Ketterer is active and supports the school’s PTA.
