strategic plan

At its regular meeting on August 20, the North Royalton Board of Education officially adopted the district’s 2025–2028 Strategic Plan. The plan, developed with input from more than 100 staff members, parents, students, and community members, will serve as a roadmap to guide priorities and decision-making over the next three years.

The Strategic Plan identifies four key focus areas: Culture and Communication, Teaching and Learning, Finance and Capital Assets, and Safety and Security. Within each area, the plan outlines specific action items designed to strengthen the district’s work and impact.

Highlights include:

  • Improving consistency and clarity in communications with families regarding educational practices, student opportunities, and district and staff achievements.

  • Designing a Portrait of a Graduate to define the skills and mindsets students need for future success.

  • Exploring new instructional design frameworks, expanding course offerings, and promoting responsible use of technology and artificial intelligence in teaching and learning.

  • Maintaining fiscal responsibility while pursuing grant opportunities and updating facilities to meet student and community needs.

  • Enhancing safety with updated surveillance systems, emergency alert tools, safety drills, and continued partnerships with school resource officers and first responders.

“This plan reflects the values that continue to define North Royalton City Schools—creating the best possible learning experience for students, responsible use of school funds, and a strong partnership with our community,” said Superintendent Michael Laub. “We are grateful to everyone who contributed their time, feedback, and ideas throughout this process. Together, we will make meaningful progress for our students, families, staff, and community.”

The district will begin implementing the plan immediately and provide regular updates to families and community members as progress is made.
