North Royalton High School continues to see remarkable growth in student participation in Advanced Placement (AP) courses and exams, reflecting the district’s strong commitment to academic rigor and college readiness.
During the 2025–26 school year, 509 students will take a total of 1,147 AP exams, setting a new school record. This marks a 65% increase in the number of students and more than double the number of exams taken since 2020–21, when 308 students completed 530 exams.
“Each year, more of our students are challenging themselves with college-level coursework, and our teachers are supporting them every step of the way,” said Principal Kristin Hubbell, North Royalton High School. “We’re proud of their hard work, perseverance, and the academic excellence they continue to demonstrate.”
AP courses give students the opportunity to experience college-level material while still in high school. Success on the exams can lead to college credit, advanced placement, or both—helping students prepare for higher education while saving on tuition costs. NRHS currently offers 20 AP courses and will be adding additional AP courses for the 2026-27 school year.
The steady increase in participation highlights North Royalton’s dedication to providing students with opportunities to reach their full potential. The district celebrates this achievement as another example of the excellence, determination, and Bear Pride that define North Royalton City Schools.
