Congratulations are in order for Tommy Visocky, a freshman at North Royalton High School, who on November 17, officially passed his Eagle Board of Review with the Lake Erie Council, earning Scouting’s highest rank and joining the esteemed Eagle Scout Class of 2025.
Tommy’s Scouting journey began in Pack 218, where he steadily worked his way through the Cub Scout ranks. By fifth grade, he had earned the Arrow of Light Award—the highest award in Cub Scouting—and crossed over into Boy Scout Troop 218, continuing his commitment to service, leadership, and personal growth.
Guided by TroopMaster Justin Beets and Eagle Scout Project Coach Jeanette Becker, Tommy completed his Eagle Scout Service Project at Audrey’s Outreach in Brook Park in March 2025. His project had a tremendous community impact: Tommy collected more than $8,000 worth of non-perishable food, household items, clothing, and shoes for families in need. The effort required over eight weeks of planning, organizing, and hands-on work, including multiple volunteer days at the outreach center. Tommy—along with his brother David, an Eagle Scout from the Class of 2024—continues to volunteer at Audrey’s Outreach.
In addition to his project, Tommy has earned an impressive 35 merit badges and received two Eagle Palms, recognizing ongoing achievement beyond the Eagle rank.
Troop 218, which continues to thrive and grow, recently honored its legacy by adding the names of all its Eagle Scouts to the troop trailer. The troop’s first Eagle Scout, Robert J. Januska, earned the rank in 1949. With 76 years of Scouting history and 76 years of Eagle Scouts, Troop 218 proudly celebrates its continued tradition of excellence.
Congratulations to Tommy Visocky and Troop 218 on this outstanding accomplishment and lasting legacy of service.
