North Royalton City Schools

The North Royalton City Schools Board of Education has named Jeff Cicerchi as the next superintendent of the district, approving his appointment at its December 17 meeting. Cicerchi will assume the role August 1, 2026, following two decades of dedicated service and leadership within North Royalton City Schools.

Cicerchi currently serves as the Director of Secondary Curriculum and Instruction, a position he has held since 2022. He is well known to the community through his extensive leadership experience at North Royalton Middle School, where he served as principal from 2014 to 2022. Prior to becoming principal, Cicerchi was the school’s assistant principal from 2010 to 2014 and completed a one-year administrative internship during the 2009–2010 school year.

Cicerchi served as a sixth-grade teacher at North Royalton Middle School, where he taught English language arts, social studies, and reading from 2006 to 2009 and also coached baseball. He began his teaching career as a sixth-grade social studies and English language arts teacher at Riverside Local Schools in Painesville before joining North Royalton City Schools.

His passion for the district and its students has been evident throughout his career. When he became principal in 2014, Cicerchi shared his enthusiasm for the school community, saying, “Our students are second to none as they truly make NRMS a great place. We have a hardworking teaching and support staff that do what is best for kids. I cannot think of a better school community where I would want to continue as a middle level educator and leader.”

Now, as the next superintendent of North Royalton City Schools, Cicerchi said, “I am honored to serve the students, staff, families, and communities of North Royalton and Broadview Heights as the next superintendent of North Royalton City Schools. Having been a Bear for the past 20 years, this community has deeply shaped my values and beliefs as an educator and as a person. I look forward to continuing this work together with our school community as we live our mission of inspiring and empowering learners.”

A resident of North Royalton, Cicerchi holds a Bachelor of Science in Education, Middle Childhood Education from Baldwin Wallace University and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Ursuline College. 

Board of Education members noted that Cicerchi’s deep experience, student-centered leadership style, and long-standing commitment to North Royalton City Schools make him an exceptional choice to lead the district into the future.

“Mr. Cicerchi brings an established background in education along with a wealth of experience and a leadership style that resonates with the community,” said Board President Jackie Arendt. “His energy and passion for public education will be a beacon for North Royalton, and we look forward to having Mr. Cicerchi lead North Royalton Schools.”
