Seven North Royalton High School seniors have been named Commended Scholars in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. The students are Angela Armbruster, Alden Brinkley, Naisha Chopra, Sana Hameed, Kingston Luong, Milin Mathur, and Nyah Palmer.
The Commended Scholar designation is awarded to students whose exceptional performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) places them among the top scorers nationwide. Fewer than 3.5 percent of the more than 1.3 million students who take the test each year earn this recognition.
“We are incredibly proud of these students for their dedication and academic achievements,” said Principal Kristin Hubbell. “Being named a Commended Scholar is a reflection of their hard work and commitment to excellence, and we look forward to all they will accomplish in the future.”
The National Merit Scholarship Program, established in 1955, honors the nation’s highest academic performers and promotes educational excellence. Commended Scholars may also become eligible for a variety of scholarships as they continue their academic journeys.
