Today, four 4H girls who raise chickens and quail presented to the first graders and shared their knowledge and experiences in hatching eggs and what goes into the hatching process!
The four girls, Kinsley, Leah, Maisie and Emma taught what an incubator is, what happens within the incubator to mimic the momma hen and the length of time it takes quail and chickens to hatch. The girls provided pictures from their own experiences and answered questions the first graders might have had. This was the kick off for the first graders who will be hatching next week within their classrooms.
